5 Star Certification in Southwest Colorado
COLORADO'S 5 STAR CERTIFICATION PROGRAM encourages businesses to implement safety measures beyond what is already required by public health orders and guidelines that will help slow the spread of COVID-19. In doing so, businesses will be able to accelerate their reopening and allows participants to operate at the next-lower level of restrictions on COLORADO'S COVID-19 DIAL. The program is completely voluntary and optional.
La Plata County and Archuleta County received approval from the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE) to operate the 5 Star State Certification Program.

Steps on what to expect before and during your dining experience
It takes everyone to make the 5 Star Certification Program a success. The certified restaurants below have taken extra steps to ensure their ability to serve you safely. You too can help in following the simple steps below to keep our local restaurants open, you safe and your tummies full. Cheers!
STEP 1: Make a reservation or check-in. If the restaurant has call or online reservations, make plans in advance to visit and provide your contact information. You can also check-in upon arrival providing your name and either phone number or email address for one person in the party.
STEP 2: Get screened. You will be asked a series of questions to determine if anyone in the party has recently experienced any COVID-19 symptoms. You may also have your temperature taken.
STEP 3: Wear a mask at all times. When inside the restaurant, except when actively eating, wearing a mask is required. Guests are required to wear their masks when ordering from their server, when they are done eating but others are not finished, and when paying the bill with their server.
STEP 4: Adhire to party and table requirements. All tables will be distanced 6 feet apart and party sizes are limited to no more than 10 guests per table.
