Help Your Community

A major function of SWCODA is to raise awareness and assist with fundraising efforts for the Community Emergency Relief Fund (CERF).

This fund is set up for broad-based community emergencies in Southwest Colorado. CERF is actively fundraising for consequences directly related to the COVID-19 public health crisis in Southwest Colorado. Donations are now being accepted to deploy funds to community-based organizations directly responding to the most vulnerable members of our community. These resources will be disbursed as needed and as available. Initial priorities include food and housing insecurity.

The Community Foundation serving SW CO and the United Way of SW CO have established a committee of community stakeholders, including representatives from public health, local governments, school districts, businesses and nonprofits. Emergency funds will be disbursed across the five counties of Southwest Colorado to address immediate needs in our region, including public health needs and economic impacts.
